Day Trip To Lake Placid

Located approximately 90 miles Northwest of Jupiter is the town of Lake Placid. With a population of less than 2,000 Lake Placid has defined itself for two reasons. First, it is considered the “Caladium Capitol of the World” due to the acres of caladium farms.

Second, Lake Placid is home to perhaps one of the largest outdoor art galleries in the world. Scattered throughout the entire town are over 40 murals depicting the town’s history.

What a surprising Florida find. If you live within a couple of hours of Lake Placid it is definitely worth the trip.
